Over my career, I have

Grown in my empathy and relational leadership skills as a non-profit worker.

Refined my communication skills as a coach + conference speaker.

Learned to unleash creativity in teams as a content strategist + DEI ambassador.

Perfected my project management skills as a
network manager.

A little about me (and my people)

I love my people a lot. I also have A LOT of people I call my people! I come from a huge family (mom is the middle child of 9, dad the middle child of 8, stepmom the middle child of 7), I am the oldest of three girls (but am clearly the rough draft because my sisters are AMAZING humans), and I have the best people as friends (9 bridesmaids on my wedding day). And with almost a decade volunteering and working with high school and college students, I have little sisters and brothers all around the country I still keep in touch with. All in all, you can say I am surrounded by love and goodness. And I am truly better for it.

Meet Ryan Fox

I am married to the most patient and hilarious man on the planet, Ryan Fox. I say patient because he has weathered so much with me over the last 8 years together. We have endured unemployment, wedding planning (an outer rim of hell, I am convinced), racial and church trauma, long distance, and so much more. We have truly been through the highest of highs and lowest of lows together. After all we’ve gone through, I could never imagine someone else being the right person for me. His grit is something I deeply admire.

Being one of the most curious people ever, he uses it to help himself ask really good questions when in conversations with new people. Definitely has come in clutch with moving all over and having to make local friends numerous times. More than that, he is a great thought partner in everything I do because he asks the right questions to uncover motive and create the best path forward. He is my biggest champion and I am lucky to have him as a partner.

My LIFE Mission Statement:
Always Set Others Up To Win

My career has not been what I thought it would be at all, but it has shown me just how big the world really is.

I graduated in 2015 from Vanguard University with a degree in Pastoral Leadership with the full intention to be in pastoral ministry. I’ve done public speaking on stages in front of high schoolers, adults, and global conferences. I have walked with people through loss, trauma, anxiety, and so much more. I have gotten to program camps, retreats, workshops, trainings, luncheons, conferences, you name it. Like most non-profit work, I have worn many hats simultaneously and tried my best to wear them well.

When the pandemic hit, my role was “dissolved” (read: removed from staff for speaking up about our diversity practices and showing that I wasn’t happy with their answers when said conversation happened). Although a traumatic situation, it gave me the chance to make the pivot in my career that I had been thinking about. Nothing like a pandemic to remind you that life is too short and simultaneously too long to not pursue good things and alignment.

Through the last two years, I have gotten to explore what I really love to do and what matters most to me. In all the hats I have worn, I realized the ones that brought my the most joy was being a part of teams that were doing good in the world. I love connecting people with a community to develop deeper, more meaningful relationships. More than anything, I believe I am on this planet to set others up to win. So accidentally starting a communications strategy business was one of the best things that could have happened to me. In the Fall of 2020, I started designing websites and providing social media management for experts and educators. I have supported award winning cardiologists, beauty industry educators, local churches and non-profits, and best-selling authors to get their message out in meaningful and tactful ways. Getting to support people who are doing incredible good has been the privilege of a lifetime.

I have a passion for employee advocacy, leadership development, people and culture development, and meaningful conversations. In everything I do, I want to make sure I give people tools so that they feel empowered to go and change the world around them.

Here’s what i am…

Listening To

I have loved Jon Bellion since May 2015 when I was studying for the last final of my college career. Shout out to the Spotify algorithm because it turned into going to his 150 person show the next month at the OC Observatory… and it’s been a love affair ever since.

He’s one of the best in the game. You can’t convince me otherwise. But I do admit, I miss his smaller shows. But we still love the growth!

I came back to this album recently and honestly, I still think it’s his best one overall.

Reading

In 2019, just because I didn’t want to be left out of a movie night, I watched all of the Star Wars movies in order to prepare watching Episode IX in theaters with my husband and brother-in-law. That’s when the obsession started.

And now, here I am reading the Thrawn series because watching his character in Rebels was amazing and fiction is something I don’t get into enough!

Also, he’s the best villain in Star Wars and I will not be having a discussion about it, thank you.

Watching

I don’t feel like I have to explain why I am watching this show. It is a masterpiece. Quinta Brunson deserves ALL the flowers. Not just her own. ALL OF THEM.

Everyone needs to watch it if not just for the sake of seeing a cultural moment take place in real time. Also, season 3 is coming out in February and you already know I am planning a premiere party.
